1st Draft

1st Draft:

This is my first draft, although I am pleased with it I feel it is a little too bare and altogether quite dull. I have used a white background as that is what I have seen used in other Pop Magazines (e.g. Top of the Pop's). I have also taken a few ideas from the Top of the Pop's magazines that I have looked at. The Top of the Pops magazine with Cher Lloyd on the cover (see right) is the main inspiration for many of my ideas. e.g. the three black boxes with images and captions and the footer at the bottom, which I have 'copied', 'pasted' and edited so not to break copyright rules and restrictions, I have also used the idea of bar codes and introduced a QR code in order to keep up to the trends and allow my readers to access the magazine's features from anywhere. However, as mentioned before; unlike these Top of the Pops magazine's, my magazine does not look  full enough to fit in with the conventions of these. I have also taken an idea from the second magazine cover (Justin Bieber cover). I have decided to look at the use of circles and the '107 brilliant bargain buys'. I like how this stands out against the images and other captions and therefore decided to use it in my own magazine.
